The official opening ceremony of the Pop-up Exhibition of German books in Accra, was held today, 10th November 2023 at the National Children and Mobile Library, Accra. The Pop-up Exhibition is a collaboration between the Ghana Book Development Council and Frankfurter Buchmesse (Frankfurt Book Fair).
The exhibition showcase various list of books such as;
The Ghana Book Development Council in collaboration with Frankfurter Buchmesse (organisers of Frankfurt Book fair), Germany organised a 2-day workshop, under the auspices of Accra World Book Capital 2023. This is part of efforts to build the capacity of book industry practitioners. The 2-day workshop, themed "Metadata in Book Publishing" was held on 2nd - 3rd November 2023 at National Children and Mobile Library (NCML), Accra.
The Ghana Book Development Council, as part of its functions to develop the book industry and enhance the professional skills of the industry practitioners, organised a 2-day workshop dubbed, Developing and Publishing Books for Early Graders: Do’s and Don’ts on 19th October - 20th October 2023. The main objective of this workshop was to build the capacity of practitioner to venture into the development and publishing of supplementary readers for early graders, since it is a specialized area.
