The Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC) has partnered with the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Directorate of Education to organize a reading festival.

The GBDC supported the Directorate with a variety of assorted reading books for the award of pupils who excelled in the reading festival.

The event which took place on Thursday, February 29, 2024, had in attendance the Chief of Otinnibi, Nii Adjei Kwei Dzamansah IV; the Member of Parliament of the Madina Constituency, Hon. Francis Xavior Sosu; the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Kean Adjei Appiah; a representative of the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly, circuit supervisors, head teachers, teachers, school children as well as parents.

Reading competitions were organised for pupils in classes 3, 4 and 5 respectively. Visit the photo gallery for more images on some of the activities that transpired.
