The Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC) had a two-day meeting with book industry practitioners in Kumasi from 30^th June 2022 to 1^st July 2022 at the Department of Publishing Studies, KNUST. The Executive Director of GBDC, Ms. Ernesticia L. Asuinura and the Production Services Manager of GBDC, Kofi Asante Twumasi, interacted and familiarised with printers and booksellers on the first day, as well as writers and publishers on the second day respectively.

This was a platform to officially introduce GBDC, its functions, projects and programmes to book industry practitioners in the Ashanti Region and also discuss with practitioners issues related to book production and book development in Kumasi. This event was graced by the Head of Department and lecturers of the Department of Publishing Studies, KNUST.
