ADVERTISEMENT FOR 2026 RECRUITMENT

 

  1. A.   HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

The Ghana Book Development Council has vacancy for a Human Resource Manager to perform the following duties:

  1. Provide inputs for formulation of policies of the Council
  2. Provides inputs and information for the designs, implementations and periodic review of the record management system.
  3. Implements a system to ensure efficient custody, retrieval and preservation at all files on human resource.
  4. Supervises the activities of the Registry staff and recommends training programmes on current records management practices.
  5. Support the preparation of periodic reports on all activities issues related to human resource
  6. Support the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the unit
  7. Support the preparation of budget of the unit

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. A minimum of a Master’s Degree from a recognised accredited tertiary institution in HRM, Public/Business Administration, Social Sciences or  field
  2. Minimum of one (1) year working experience in a reputable organisation
  3. Must have completed National Service

 

  1. B.   PROCUREMENT MANAGER

The Ghana Book Development Council has vacancy for a Procurement Manager to perform the following duties:

  1. Manages stock levels to ensure availability for operational requirements.
  2. Ensures that goods and services delivery are consistent with contractual requirements.
  3. Supervises the collection of data for procurement management.
  4. Drafts notices and other related tender documentation in line with procurement plan and budget.
  5. Supervises the conduct of market surveys.
  6. Oversee the initiation of procurement processes.
  7. Supervises the collection of data for the preparation of the annual budget, annual and periodic reports.
  8. Manages stock levels to ensure availability of goods.
  9. Ensures that goods and services delivered are consistent with the contractual requirements.
  10. Collates and prepares reports (evaluation, project etc.) for deliberations at meetings.
  11. Liaises with ports to ensure that overseas procurements are expeditiously handled.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. A minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Procurement
  2. A member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS)
  3. A minimum of one (1) year post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institution
  4.  Must have completed National Service
