GBDC has presented a collection of books to the UGBS

The Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC) has presented a collection of books on Finance, Accounting, Strategic Management, Marketing, and other Business-related subjects to the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS). This collection was part of a larger collection of library books from Webster University (Ghana Campus). Mr. Kofi Asante Twumasi, the Senior Production Services Manager, accompanied by Mr. Ishmael Aryeetey, the Records/Stores Manager, presented the books on behalf of GBDC.

Newly inducted Council Members of GPA calls on the Executive Director of GBDC

On 24 February 2026, the newly inducted Council Members of the Ghana Publishers Association (GPA) paid a courtesy call on the Executive Director of the Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC).
The purpose of the courtesy meeting was for them to introduce themselves and discuss pertinent issues affecting the publishing industry in Ghana.

GBDC donated assorted reading books to selected schools in the Akwapim South Municipality, Eastern Region

The Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC), on 6 February 2026, donated assorted reading books to selected schools in the Akuapim South Municipality, Eastern Region.
This initiative aims to promote reading among school children by providing assorted reading books to basic schools at no cost to the schools. Each of the schools received about 275 books to augment the school libraries and to promote reading.

The Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC) donated a specialized collection of books to the Department of Psychology, School of Social Sciences, University of Ghana, on January 27, 2026. This collection is part of a larger collection of library books received from Webster University (Ghana Campus). Mr. Kofi Asante Twumasi, accompanied by Mr. Ishmael Aryeetey, presented the books on behalf of GBDC. Professor Adote Anum, Head of the Department of Psychology, received the books and expressed his gratitude for this unique gesture from GBDC.
