Rainbow Trust Foundation Donates Books to Echoing Hills, as part of events marking the celebration of Accra World Book Capital, 2023. Echoing Hills is an inclusive residential facility for vulnerable children and persons with disability. The event which took place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, also included assessment of children to test their reading abilities. This was followed by various reading activities.
The two-day book fair was organized by Gracie Grace Reads as part of activities marking the yearlong celebration of Accra World Book Capital, 2023. The event which took place on May 20, 2023 to May 21, 2023 had in attendance, publishers, writers and authors, heads of educational institutions, teachers, students and pupils, including parents and other stakeholders. The book fair also included various reading clinics to promote reading and engender a culture of reading among all facets of society.
The 20th Ghana International Book Fair (GIBF), which comes off on the 10th – 13th August 2023 at the Accra International Conference Centre 2023 was launched on 8th June 2023 by Deputy Minister for Tourism Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Hon. Mark Okraku-Mantey.
This year’s GIBF is a key event of the Accra World Book Capital, 2023 which seeks to promote Ghana’s culture through books.
H.E. Ms. Anna Bossman, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of Ghana to UNESCO reads with children as part of the celebration of Accra World Book Capital, 2023. The reading session was followed by an interview on the literary climate of Ghana. The event took place in Paris during the UNESCO Africa Week.
