Orators Public Speaking Competition Held in Koforidua

One of the unique features of the 2021 Regional Book Fair which took place in Koforidua, from Thursday, 28th October 2021, to Saturday 30th October 2021, was the orators public speaking competition. The orators public speaking competition is intended to hone the oral communication skills of young people. It also considers the leadership skills, creativeness, and innovativeness of participants.

STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION TO DEVELOP A NATIONAL BOOK AND READING POLICY (NBRP)

On Friday, 15th October 2021, the Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC), in collaboration with the National Development and Planning Commission (NDPC) and the Ghana Library Authority (GhLA), organised a stakeholder consultation as part of developing a National Book and Reading Policy. This stakeholder consultation is the first of other consultations to be held. The event was held at the Conference Centre, Tertiary Education Complex, East Legon.

GPA President

The President of Ghana Publishers Association (GPA), Mr. Asare Konadu Yamoah has backed efforts by the Ghana Book Development Council to organise Book Fairs in collaboration with Ghana Library Authority, Ghana Education Service, Ghana Publishers Association and other stakeholders in the book industry to promote reading.
